I remember the first time I went to the Oktoberfest, I was 12 or 13 years old. I thought the rides were amazing and the place was huge and I could spend days there. It’s funny when you get older and you go back to places you were as a kid how much smaller they seem and in particular theme parks rides seem a lot more tame than they were. The rides in Munich were still pretty impressive, I’m sure they’ve been updated over the years. I was looking for a ride my sister and I must have gone on 20 times, probably a bit of an exaggeration that’s my inner child remembering how great it was back then, it was probably more like 2 or 3 times. The ride was just a spinning cylinder where you stood up against the wall, as it sped up the floor dropped away. Loads of fun, especially when starting upside down.
