On a rainy evening in Venice I wandered the streets with my tripod and camera over my shoulder, I noticed I ended up taking quite a few photos like this one that evening. I just walked up to the top of the bridges, plonked my tripod down and took a few shots.
I suspect I did this because not many people were out and I had the opportunity to stand at the top of the bridges undisturbed by others. A friend and I were discussing the fact that photography really isn’t a group thing. It can be with the right people, but even then you have a bit of a chat and then start looking for your own subject or angle.
