Birds with a 600mm

The Nikon 600mm is an unwieldy beast of a lens when mounted on a tripod with a good gimbal head. Trying to shoot birds in flight while resting it on a beanbag is very much a hit and miss situation.

While wings down isn’t ideal, I’m still happy with this shot of a tawny eagle.
